National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5
WAKE UP AMERICA
Pray for our families, our communities, our nation and our world at the National Day of Prayer rally on Sugar Land Town Square at noon, Thursday, May 5. St. Laurence Youth Minister Kris Frank is one of the prayer leaders this year. Invite someone from your office or neighborhood to go with you and we’ll see you there!
People from faith communities all over Sugar Land will gather on Sugar Land’s Town Square on Thursday, May 5, at 12:00 noon for the 65th annual National Day of Prayer. On that same day, all around the country, people will assemble on town squares to pray for our city, country and world. The theme for 2016 is Wake Up America, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence for His Holy Name. To further highlight the theme, they’ve chosen Isaiah 58:1a as our Scripture for this year: “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.” Plan to spend your lunch hour in prayer and invite someone to join you!
