Beginning February 22-23, 2025, kits will be available at Sunday, Sunday vigil, and other ushered masses.
How it works:
Interested parishioners and visitors should see an usher 15 minutes before Mass on February 22-23, who will direct you to the "Bride's Room" for a quick orientation on the options available and to fill out a check-out card.
At future masses, give the usher your completed check-out card and let them know if you prefer an in-ear or over-the-ear earpiece.
The usher will give you the equipment and a sanitation wipe.
After mass, return the equipment and the usher will return your check-out card in exchange. Save the card for future use.
The kits include:
A wireless radio receiver
A lanyard that also functions as a T-Coil transmitter for T-Coil-compatible hearing aids.
Choice of either in-ear earbuds or an over-the-ear single earpiece.
Sound Check
To allow users to verify whether their equipment is working correctly, music is played over the listening assist system starting 15 minutes before until 5 minutes before regularly scheduled weekly masses (including daily masses). Music is not played for masses outside the normal weekly schedule. Even if music is not played, the system is operational at all times the church sound system is on.
Examples:
At a regular Friday 8:15am daily mass, music is played from 8:00am-8:10am.
At a Christmas mass or other Holy Day of Obligation, no music is played since it is not a regularly-scheduled weekly mass.
