St. Laurence Ladies Guild invites you to join our ministry. We consist of women of all ages, interests, professions and backgrounds. We meet on the third Thursday of the month, between September-May, at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Our monthly meetings include prayer, fellowship, lots of good food and drinks, and an interesting speaker or a fun program.
We have been serving St Laurence parish for over 25 years. Our motto is taken from the Gospel of Matthew, “to serve, not to be served.” We strive to serve others through our fundraisers and various ministries.
Net proceeds from our fundraisers, such as Shop 'til You Drop, benefit a variety of charities.
Ladies Guild members have the option to serve in many different areas, including:
Meals That Heal
Meals That Heal Ministry provides meals to those who need a little extra help during times of illness, after surgery, or childbirth. As part of the St. Laurence Ladies Guild, volunteer chefs from Meals That Heal deliver a warm smile and meal to families when they need it most. Volunteer chefs are welcome! Last year, this Ladies Guild ministry prepared and delivered nearly 100 meals to families that needed a little help. If you or someone you know is in need of meals, or you are interested in providing a meal to those in need, please contact Joan O'Daniel through email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Funeral Reception Ministry
Members of the Funeral Ministry prepare and serve food for funeral receptions. This ministry is a part of the St. Laurence Ladies Guild and seeks to serve parishioners by seeing to the details involved in creating a reception for family and friends of the deceased. Last year, this Ladies Guild ministry prepared food for and served at 25 parish funerals. If you are interested in volunteering on the Funeral Receptions Ministry, please contact Carol Giardina at 281-703-8615 or CGiardina1951@gmail.com.
Ladies Guild Praying Hands is one powerful prayer chain! This group of dedicated, prayer warriors prayed for the intentions of 250 people who submitted special prayer requests last year. Send prayer requests to email@example.com
Ladies Guild knows how to do receptions! We are asked to coordinate the refreshments for Ministry Fair Weekend, Hospitality Sunday and farewall receptions for priests.
Don't miss the chance to socialize and serve with other great women of the parish! For information on current programs and events, open our newsletter via the link on the right or contact Julie Badrick at firstname.lastname@example.org
