The GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP provides Tools, Information and Discusion as well as Compassionate Support
Whether your loss is recent or in the past, we walk the grief journey with you! We are a group of compassionate lay people who also have experienced the death of someone we dearly love.
The Grief Support Ministry group has not met since earlier this year. We feel that it is important to reach out to those in our community who have experienced the death of a loved one during this time. We are offering the program this fall using Zoom virtual meetings.
The meetings will begin on Tuesday, October 27, at 6:30 pm.
The first meeting will be an orientation meeting where we will meet everyone in the group, as well as become familiar with “Zoom” meetings. We will provide a calendar, handouts and resources using e-mail.
The basis for our program is the “Walking Through Grief” video series, produced by The Grief Toolbox. The meetings will consist of a video from the series and discussion after the video.
Attend as often or as little as you wish - there are no requirements, costs or prerequisites. You may join at any time – the videos do not need to be seen in order. All are welcome, any denomination or parish!
After you have registered above - the Zoom meeting information d will be e-mailed to you.
I came to this grief support group two years ago after my husband's death. It has allowed me to actually cry! In being able to talk and grieve for him I awoke to begin to live again and to honor him. Now I can live a balanced life. CF
Our hero(Dad/ Grandpa) and leader of our family passed away some monthes ago. This is a place where we can talk about him and honor him. The videos are helpful and the leaders are thoughtful. LSM
Grief took me by surprise after my husband died. I found myself unable to communicate with the people around me. It was not until I came to the Grief Support Group that I felt I was able to talk to people without feeling that I needed a translator. People that come to the group understand each other as we all are feeling the loss of our loved ones. I feel very grateful to have become a part of the group. Thank You! BG
