GRIEF SUPPORT MINISTRY
"WALKING THROUGH GRIEF"
WEEKLY GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
When a loved one has died we are in a place that we may never have been before. There can be a sense of isolation when we are grieving, especially after the funeral when others return to their lives and we are still in the throes of early grief and do not know where to turn. Support groups are an important tool for finding hope on this journey.
Our support group which uses the "Walking Through Grief " program from the
Grief Toolbox meets on:
at 6:30 pm
Ave Maria Center St. Clare room
at 10:00 am
Ave Maria Center St. Clare Room.
Whether your loss is recent or in the past we will walk the grief journey with you! We are a group of compassionate lay people who also have experienced the death of someone we dearly loved.
“Walking Through Grief”, produced by The Grief Toolbox is the basis for our discussions. Attend as often or as little as you wish - there are no requirements or prerequisites. Grief does not end in a prescribed number of days or weeks! All are welcome, any denomination or parish!
No one should grieve alone!

What people say.........
I came to this grief support group two years ago after my husband's death. It has allowed me to actually cry! In being able to talk and grieve for him I awoke to begin to live again and to honor him. Now I can live a balance life. CF
Our hero(Dad/ Grandpa) and leader of our family passed away some monthes ago. This is a place where we can talk about him and honor him. The videos are helpful and the leaders are thoughtful. LSM
Grief took me by surprise after my husband died. I found myself unable to communicate with the people around me. It was not until I came to the Grief Support Group that I felt I was able to talk to people without feeling that I needed a translator. People that come to the group understand each other as we all are feeling the loss of our loved ones. I feel very grateful to have become a part of the group. Thank You! BG
