Each missionary pays their own fees for the mission. The fees include all transportation from St Laurence, (air or ground), 7 nights accomodations, and 3 meals per day plus snacks. For Costa Rica this also includes the airport tax. Additionally, travel insurance is purchased for each missionary.
The cost for the 2019 Laredo Mission trip (November 2-9, 2019) has been set at $975. 1/2 payment along with a completed application will is due by September 2, 2019 and the final payment due on October 2, 2019.
The cost for the 2020 Costa Rica Mission trip (April 18 - April 25, 2020) has not yet been set but traditionally runs between $1200 and $1400 per person. 1/2 payment is due with a completed application by February 18, 2020 and the remaining 1/2 will be due on March 18, 2020.
Many missionaries offer their friends, family, and coworkers the opportunity to share in their mission experience by sponsoring them for the trip. This can be done in whole or in part. Small amounts can add up to cover the entire fee. Other missionaries raise money in a host of creative ways; one missionary even selling her specialty baked goods to raise the money so she could go on mission.
