Learning to share our time and talents with those around us starts at a very early age. In our Music Ministry here at St. Laurence, we want to invite children from Grades 2-8 to develop and use their musical talents to serve Christ and the people of our parish.
Our Children and Youth Choirs offer these young people the opportunity to become active, sharing members of St. Laurence Catholic Church, and the community around us. These choirs lead the music at Sunday liturgies 6-8 times throughout the year between September and June. Rehearsals are on Monday afternoons in the Music Ministry room which is in the courtyard next to the church. See the descriptions and age specifications below for each choir, and if you have any questions please contact Mary Thompson, Director, (281) 980-9812 or mthompson@stlaurence.org
There is no audition needed to join – contact Mary or just come to the music room at the time of rehearsal. There will be a registration form to fill out for each member of the choir, and parents will pick up an information sheet containing more details. Children can join at any time of the year, but keep in mind that rehearsals and singing at mass will follow the school year timeframe.
