Boy Scout Troop 828
Boy Scout Troop 828, begun during February 1991, is sponsored by the St. Laurence Catholic Parish. Scouts come from all over the community to join in fun, camping, advancement, and service activities. The troop offers youth in grades 5 through 12 an exciting year-round program which helps them develop into responsible and healthy young men.

Troop attended Catholic Scout Retreat at Camp Strake
Five (5) Scouts finishing the Ad Altare Dei religious award for Catholic Scouts (17 in the troop currently have the award)
Troop members contributed 997 hours of community service (Mamie George Community Center food fairs (2), Scouting for Food, Share God’s Bounty, Memorial Park conservation project, mulch spreading at Christ United Methodist, six Eagle projects including continued building of community garden at Mamie George)

Earned 214 merit badges
