There will be tables set up outdoors as well as some games in the courtyard for the kids (weather permitting).

God has given each of us a conscience to help us make decisions but between each of our past experiences, the other people in our lives, and the social media influences we follow it can become difficult to hear and follow our conscience. How do we form our conscience? How do we hear the voice of God in a world that can drown Him out? All high school students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us for our Life Teen series on “Think For Yourself” where we will look at ways to form our conscience in the world that we live. Series runs February 20, 27, and March 6.

We have Holy Adoration at 4 am. Come participate in this simple act of spending time in prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, exposed on the altar at the Chapel of Divine Mercy at St. Laurence. You can go straight to the Chapel or meet with fellow Brother Adorers at the parish hall kitchen, a few minutes before 4. After the Holy Hour, we invite all Adorers to come join us for coffee at the Parish Hall Kitchen.
This retreat will begin in person on March 13th 10:15 a.m. (beginning with mass) at St Joseph parish and will continue virtually for the rest of the week. This retreat is designed to integrate into daily life (school, work, etc.) by spending time each morning with St Joseph in prayer, and then putting into practice his virtues, and sharing our experiences together in the evening (virtually) at 8:30pm on March 14th-19th. It’s like attending a school – if St. Joseph ran a school – to be like Joseph. (There will be a brief video presentation each day explaining the prayer assignment and daily spiritual challenges for that day.) Cost: $20 – Any questions, please call 713-652-8239.

Emotions can be empowering, crippling, and overwhelming. At times, they can be all three. Whether we experience triumphant peaks or deflating lows, the emotions we feel are never sinful; rather, they are a part of the human psyche. What we do with our emotions defines our morality. Since Jesus became fully human, He experienced the same emotions we feel. The difference is that Jesus took these emotions and gave us an example of how to order them for the good of all. MOOD is a High School Life Night series that presents the emotional responses of Jesus during His earthly ministry. We will look to Jesus' example to understand our emotional responses and order them toward the spiritual good.

There will be a brief video presentation each day explaining the prayer assignment and daily spiritual challenges for that day. There will also be online meetings scheduled at 8pm on March 22nd-23rd (Tuesday and Wednesday). For the conclusion of the retreat, we will meet in-person on Friday evening at St. Joseph’s to celebrate the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. Cost: $20 – If you have any questions, please call 713-652-8239 or email us at vocations.archgh.org

Support the Pregnancy Resource Medical Center by picking up a baby bottle after Mass. Return the bottle to church with a check, bills or coins to donate to PRMC. Individuals returning donations by May 1 may request an honor card to be sent (in time for Mother's Day) to tell someone that you have made the donation in their honor.
