The St. Laurence Chamber Singers performs choral masterworks from the 16th to the 21st century, drawing from the rich and extensive repertoire of the Catholic Church. Under the direction of conductor/founder Dr. Kevin Klotz, the ensemble has performed many major choral/orchestra works, including Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Cherubini's Requiem, Rutter's Gloria, Gjeilo's Sunrise Mass, etc. In addition, the choir has sung numerous motets and anthems by Victoria, Palestrina, and other Renaissance composers. In 2001, the St. Laurence Chamber Singers were honored to be part of a massed performance at Carnegie Hall, combining with local choirs in a performance of Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass.
Auditions are held in January and August (or by appointment).
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings (7:30-9:30 p.m., Music Ministry Choir Room) during the fall and spring semesters.
