Through your generous support and prayers, the St. John de Matha Rosary House is ready to open its doors! On Monday, April 27, at 10:00am, Cardinal DiNardo will celebrate an outdoor Mass and dedicate this house, which will be a safe place for ex-offenders to reenter the community upon their release. The location of the St. John de Matha Rosary House is 3308 La Branch, in Houston. For more info and to donate to the Society of St. John de Matha, please contact Deacon Al Bothe at 713-582-3870, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers from the Correctional Ministry bring Christ in Word and in Eucharist into jails and prisons. Their visits offer everything from a sympathetic ear to communion services, retreats, counseling, faith sharing, Bible studies and sacramental preparation. An application process and training is required before volunteers can serve. This is run by Deacon Al and Deacon Charles.
