Our Village Program matches parish families with families that struggle each month to make ends meet. Car tags, a sick child and no insurance, a birthday, car repairs… all these sorts of events tend to keep struggling families on the edge of financial ruin. Matched families are a wonderful way to offer direct assistance, see the fruits of your labor and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.Consider adopting a Village family, hear their story, embrace their struggle and help them monthly with either a gift card (for food, Wal-Mart, gas, etc.) or a physical gift like a child’s winter coat, birthday gift and balloons, a pair of work boots, a new tire… Monthly donations are communicated via a Village Tracker* and monetary values cannot exceed $75.00 per month. If you are interested in becoming a Village adopting family, please contact Pennie in the Social Concerns office pdegroot@stlaurence.org
*TRACKERS (liaisons between the adopted family and the adopting family) are currently needed! For more information, please contact Michelle Broussard in the Social Concerns office at 281-980-9812 or mbroussard@stlaurence.org
