WHAT IS CONQUEST?
Conquest is an international network of leadership programs, clubs, and camps for boys and young men 8-16 years of age. The program goal is to lead boys to form a friendship with Christ and work together to build a new world, committing themselves to follow the example of Jesus Christ in living a life of charity, sincerity, friendship, purity, generosity and happiness, giving testimony to others through their lifestyle and expanding Christ's friendship with their friends and classmates.
The Sugar Land Club meets two Thursdays a month at 6:30pm in the RE Center. We need a snack volunteer and 4 DADS at each meeting. Please SIGN UP HERE.
OUR MISSION
An athletics coach forms an adolescent into the best athlete he can be; But life’s more than sports; so who’s going to assist that same adolescent to become the best Catholic young man he can be?
When it comes to offering young men the ideal of life lived to the max, our society dictates what that looks like, and there are few who counter it.
Here’s where Conquest stands apart.
While an athletics coach answers the question: “how can I improve my swing?”, our outstanding Conquest mentors complement family formation: they teach fundamental virtues in an amazingly fun setting, and facilitate the adolescents’ approach to the bigger questions such as “What’s a truly happy life?” and “How can I know what God expects of me?”
Besides all the typical fun and friends at the Conquest camps, there’s real virtue formation that little by little forges a mature character.
The unique and successful approach of Conquest finds its source in the youth formation training of the Legionaries of Christ.
What’s more, all Conquest events can count on the guidance and spiritual leadership of Legionary priests, brothers and religious.
