Marriage Preparation

The focus of marriage preparation is not centered primarily on planning the wedding. Its focus is on preparing to live out a lifelong union of love with the Lord. This is not intended to diminish the couple's wedding ceremony, but to put it into proper perspective - namely, the significant sacramental event that initiates married life.

To begin marriage preparation, please plan to attend a Wedding Information Session at least six months prior to the proposed wedding date.  Nine months to a year is preferred.  At the Wedding Information Session, you will learn what classes are required for your marriage preparation, how to register for each class, and details about having your wedding at St. Laurence.  Wedding Information Sessions are offered every month or two in Room 1 (Music Room) in the parish courtyard.  The next 2 sessions are:  Monday, March 11, 2013 7:30-8:30pm and Monday, May 13, 2013 7:30-8:30pm.  Please call the office to register for the session you would like to attend.
